25th November- 9th December ongoing

Sarah in great pain admitted to Frimley Park Hospital on 25th.

They are treating her for constipation caused by the chemo. Sarah’s pain is mainly under control now as she has a pain pump. She has had a stent put into her bowel to widen it but this has not been very successful. She is being fed intravenously and is very exhausted. Ray has been staying with her every night and Yvonne has been staying all day. The nursing staff are wonderful.

10th December – 21st December 2006

Sarah is still in hospital.  She had another stet put in which did not work.  The doctor then decided to operate on her bowel, this operation was not successful.

22nd December – 28th December 2006

Sarah came home with Ray to their house.  She still has a pain pump and is recovering from her operations.  The district nurses and doctors are doing a great job of looking after her at home with the help of Ray and their families.

She had a quiet Christmas with their families.

29th December 2006 – Ongoing

Sarah’s wound re-opened and she returns to hospital for more treatment.

6th January 2007

Sarah obtained an exit pass from the hospital to go to the Fund Raising Appeal in her name at the Lismoyne hotel in Fleet and she really enjoyed it.  She was almost the last to leave.  We put her to bed at the hospital at 1.30!

22nd January 2007

At 6.25 a.m. Sarah passed away in her sleep in her beloved Ray's arms with her family and friends around her."
